Day#4 Julia's ?s-Nikkea
In Take the Cannoli, I mostly find interests in Sarah. I love the fact thats she different. I love the fact she's the outcast with her family but later in life finds a conncection to her past. She realizes the things she took badly were the complete opposite. As an adult she discovers she's had a connection with her father all a long. She and her family had different interests, but found the resemblance of the little things such as her and her father's loss of hearing. Something so simple as that excited her, of course which was oddly disturbing but worht a smile. I also find interesting is her love for Frank Sinatra. She's researched his background and questions some of his decisions which some she disagree with but still finds herself listening and loving his music.
I feel that Sarah affects the story because she shows a young individual struggling to find her identy but all along knowing who she is. Sarah discovers herself throughtout her journey from elementary school to adulthood.
Someone that impoacts my life would be my mother. She's a big inspiration to me and who I want to become. She's shown me what a strong woman is. She's overcame obstacles and still continues to stand and fight everyday. She's what i would call the American Dream.
